Hey Karen, welcome to the forum!

I always say that if you have the time and dedication, it's easy to make writing a career. Taking up freelancing was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Hey guys,
I'm currently working at some of the mills and am hoping to be a better freelancer and get higher paying clients. I like writing about marketing and personal development, but I write about almost anything. I'd like to explore tech a bit more.

Looking forward to interacting with all of you!

Hi! Good to meet you too!

The mills aren't a bad place to start, just remember that once you get a little bit of practice, it'll be time to move away. Don't let anyone pay you less than you're worth.

Looking forward to getting to know you better!

Hi Kristine. Welcome. I write short stories too. Feel free to share them in the thread as suggested, I'll be happy to give some feedback.

Hey GB (can I call you GB? LOL) So glad you found us! The mills serve their purpose. Hone your skills while you're there. It is possible to find slightly higher paying clients on Upwork too. Many of us here got started that way. I still have two very regular clients that I picked up there. Tech is a good topic to pursue for freelancing. Check out Jorden Roper on YouTube. She's a tech writer and makes quite a good living at it.

Thank you, PJ. I've had the time and the will but my problem has been my focus. I've been really working on that lately because I'm tired of letting time slip away without anything to show for it.

Thank you! I enjoy being around like-minded individuals. I don't know very many people offline that are into writing or understand the Freelance lifestyle.
